Bec and Ryans wedding was a gorgeous day. They were lovely enough to share their thoughts for the blog 🙂
The Engagement session:
At first we did not see the point in an engagement session, in particular my fiancé. We thought thinking we would save money and time as the wedding was fast approaching however Jodie convinced us otherwise and we are so happy we did! The session allowed us to understand how Jodie works and what she requires in achieving those priceless and timeless photos! It allowed us, particularly Ryan, to relax in front of the camera and be prepared to what to expect on the day. It was also a lot of fun and allowed us to bond with Jodie and have a sneak peak of her amazing work! See their engagement shoot on the blog HERE
Your Fabulous Photographer:
Jodie from Blissful Love Photography came to our rescue when our original photographer pulled out due to unforeseen circumstances three weeks prior to our wedding. As any bride would be; I went into panic mode thinking we wouldn’t have a photographer for our big day. After getting in contact with the local photographers, I was referred to Jodie whom had just moved to the area and may be available.
From the first phone call, Jodie was fantastic! Her professionalism, reassurance, understanding and availability was a huge relief! We met with Jodie shortly after and we both feel in love with her instantly, along with her inspiring and incredible work. Her relaxed and professional nature made our decision to book her very easy.
During the whole process from start to finish, Jodie was amazing and made our special day stress free and us the confidence that we were in good hands! And the results speak for themselves!!
I have and will continue to recommend Jodie!
Tokens of advice:
Be organised and book as many things as early as you can to minimize the risk of stressing yourself out as the date approaches.
Closer to date, confirm all bookings, to not only ensure they are booked but also to give you piece of mind.
The internet becomes your best friend! Pintrest, Etsy and EBay were my saviors! I gained so many great ideas and was able to find most things that I needed on these sites and was able to save a fair bit on money doing the decorations myself and then being able re-sell things on EBay after the wedding to make some money back.
Concentrate on the things that really matter on the day and don’t stress about those finer details that no-one remembers i.e. center pieces.
Don’t try to please everyone as that’s an impossible task. Make the final decisions and keep true to what you and your finance want as in the end its your day no one else’s!!
Also be unique; I had my brother as my Man of Honor! Ryan and I also got introduced prior to the bridal party therefore we didn’t miss them coming in dancing to LAMFAO- everyone’s surprise and laughter was something we didn’t want to miss.
What inspired you:
Our wedding was all about a relaxed and fun atmosphere along with beautiful natural scenery. It was all about sharing our special day with family and friends.
What an absolutely amazing couple they were. Bec wore an elegant Maggie Sorroto gown from Jack and Jill Bridal in Albury. Her bridesmaids wore an Alfred Angelo design black, one shoulder knee high length dresses to achieve a classic fashionable look! Bec’s unique hairstyle was fashioned for her by Alison’s of Wangaratta. Her light flawless makeup was the finishing touch and was supplied by Danielle Winzer from Wangaratta.
The Dutch Connection hand delivered Bec’s divine boquets the morning of the wedding eliminating her need to transport or store the blooms herself 🙂
The ceremony and reception were held at the picturesque Vintara Winery in Rutherglen. Bec and Ryan said their “I do’s” in front of family and friends with John Burke officiating the ceremony.
It was an honor to be chosen to transform their dreams into treasured memories
Much Love – Jodie
