What an exciting opportunity for Wedding Vendors and Venues from the North East Victoria and Riverina New South Wales area to be a part of the Love & Light Festival.
This festival bought a fresh way to show off the amazing talent that we have in this area. Hats off to Georgie from Georgie James Photography and Samantha from Forethought By Samantha for envisioning such an event! And then to pull it off with great success is the icing on the cake!
Saturday night started with a runway show at Rutherglen Estate showcasing some of the local dress designers including Meghan Louise and Jillian Franklin Couture. Not to mention the amazing hair and make up done by Gloss Make Up and Beauty Studio and Jack in the Fox hair. So talented! And I think in a big way not what you would expect for a North East Victoria and Riverina Country Wedding Festival!! It really gave us a city fresh feel and showed that hey, we have talent here in the country too!
One of my close friends was in the runway show and after the event I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take her and a friend out to John Gehrig Wines for a sunset shoot. I mean, they were dressed up, hair and make up done all ready to go! We just had to get there and get back!
We had so much fun working with what the vendors at John Gehrig had already set up and created. Take a look in some of the photos below.
And then the main event. 7 Venues, over 60 vendors spread across the Rutherglen region. I was placed at John Gehrig Wines which I loved because as a team we pulled together such a festival vibe to showcase each of our talents. From Wren Florista doing an amazing installation over the table decorated by Rustic Amour. To the beauty girls from Gloss Make Up and Beauty Studio and Louka Hair Design creating a glamour corner for brides to get a real life example of what could be done on their day. We had Dolce Films showcasing her amazing work as well. And then outside we had two incredible set ups by Tipikata and Into the Woods Glamping with a yummy cheese spread and more decor by Heart Wood Hire inside. And cant forget the drinks bar with little Vinnie from Vinbar and her amazing staff. And then 3 locations of ceremonies set up by Rustic Amour and decorated by Wren Florista to showcase what your ceremony could be like at John Gehrig. Did I get everyone? Haha
Oh wait, cant forget the macaron tower by That Macaron Lady (Now known as Miss Macaron) which I definitely sampled more then once.
But what an amazing weekend to bring together so much talent!
I hope the couples in the area got to not just see a brochure but truly experience some amazing wedding set ups
Here’s the Vendor List that I worked with
Sydney – Jillian Franklin Couture
Emily – Meghan Louise
Enjoy some shots from the weekend. I cant wait for next years event!
Much love, Kelsey xx
