A Calm, Relaxed Experience at My Wodonga Photography Studio
My Wodonga photography studio is filled with beautiful natural light, neutral tones and a calm atmosphere that allows your family to simply relax.
The studio has comfortable seating, heating to keep your newborn cosy, change facilities, and everything we need to create timeless photographs without you feeling rushed.
Many parents tell me that they expected their newborn session to be stressful—but leave saying it was one of the most relaxing parts of those early newborn weeks.

Before Your Newborn Photography Session
Feed Baby Before You Arrive If You Can
A full tummy makes for a sleepy, content baby.
If possible, try to feed your baby just before leaving home or once you arrive at the studio. Don't worry if baby needs another feed during the session—there is absolutely no rush, and feeding breaks are expected.
Every baby is different, and I always work around your little one's needs.
Dress Baby in Simple Clothing
To avoid red marks on baby's skin, dress them in loose-fitting clothing that's easy to remove.
Simple zip-up onesies work perfectly and make changing baby into wraps or blankets much easier.
Avoid a singlet because they are tricky to take off if baby is asleep

What Should Everyone Wear?
One of the biggest questions I receive as a Wodonga photographer is:
"What should we wear?" The answer is simple...
Choose Neutral Colours
Soft whites, creams, beige, oatmeal, light grey and muted earth tones photograph beautifully in the studio. These colours keep the attention on your connection rather than your clothing.
Avoid Busy Patterns
Large logos, bold prints and bright colours can distract from your photographs. Keeping clothing simple creates timeless images that you'll still love decades from now.
Think Comfortable
You'll be cuddling, feeding and holding your baby throughout the session. Choose clothing that feels comfortable and allows you to move naturally.

What About Toddlers?
Including older siblings creates some of the most meaningful photographs. If you're bringing a toddler along, a little preparation goes a long way.
Bring Snacks
Small, non-messy snacks are perfect for quick energy boosts between photographs. Think crackers, fruit or dry cereal.
Pack Their Favourite Comfort Item.
A favourite teddy, blanket or comfort toy can help your child feel settled in a new environment.
Keep Expectations Low
Toddlers don't need to sit perfectly still or smile on command. Some of the most beautiful family photographs happen during cuddles, play and genuine moments. As an experienced family and newborn photographer I work with children rather than expecting them to perform. I promise you I have got a lot of tricks up my sleeve to help them engage.

Access to My Client Wardrobe
One of the biggest advantages of booking with Blissful Love Photography is access to my carefully curated client wardrobe. I have beautiful dresses for maternity sessions, along with wraps, blankets and newborn outfits selected specifically to create timeless, elegant images. Everything has been chosen to complement the soft, natural style that my photography is known for. Sizes range from 6 to 20 and most are stretchy with free sizing.

Don't Stress About the Little Things
The biggest piece of advice I can give is this: Your baby doesn't need to sleep perfectly. Your toddler doesn't need to smile constantly. Your family doesn't need to be perfect.
Some of my favourite images come from feeding cuddles, tiny yawns, siblings giving spontaneous kisses, and parents simply soaking in these precious moments. Those authentic moments become the photographs you'll treasure most.
